Monferrato Rosso "FANDAMAT" D.O.C.
NOTES As in the old Monferrato dialect the name “FANDAMAT” was reserved to the unruly children, so it happens with Pinot Nero, wine with not easy vinification.
Grapes Pinot Nero
Soils Clayey-calcareous soils of Bricco Santa Maria, where the grapes find the conditions to express all their own Pinot Nero quality potential.
Vinification Treading-destemming, maceration on skins for about 12 days at lower temperature than other grapes to keep all the delicate fragrances.
Refining 15 months in old oak barriques; the wine after completes its refinement with a suitable period in bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics
Colour: ruby red
Fragrance: wdeep, delicate and persistent, with traces of black currant, sweet violet, tobacco and liquorice.
Taste: full, balanced with gentle tannins and a long lasting after-taste.
Gastronomic combinations Red meat, roasted and braised meat dishes, mushrooms, seasoned cheeses.
Serving temperature 16 - 18° C.
